The FOURTEKS HOT/COLD Pulp Vitality Tester
The heart of the FOURTEKS device is the innovative electronically controlled HOT and COLD stimulus probe. Using state-of-the-art technology the FOURTEKS device delivers accurate, reliable HOT and COLD stimulus for consistent pulp vitality evaluation. In HOT Mode the probe maintains a steady tip temperature of 65C (149F) and in COLD Mode the tip maintains a tip temperature at or below -12C (10F). These temperatures have been found to be capable of meeting or exceeding that of existing 'gold standard' methods. Ergonomic buttons on the device allow the user to select between HOT and COLD modes without changing the device configuration or using any additional accessories of materials. A vivid color LCD displays the state of the device and an audible signal notifies the user that the device is ready for evaluation. The active electronics and temperature feedback ensure that the tip temperature is stable when testing multiple teeth. Rapidly switch between HOT and COLD modes to efficiently provide thorough pulp vitality testing. During HOT and COLD stimulus testing the Minilight Attachment illuminates the mouth to facilitate operation. The FOURTEKS ELECTRONIC Accessory Kit
The FOURTEKS ELECTRONIC Accessory Kit adds electronic pulp test functionality to the HOT/COLD device, providing pulp vitality testing capability that meets or exceeds the performance of the 'gold-standard' devices currently on the market. The device simply changes functionality by swapping the EPT Attachment for the Minilight Attachment and connecting the patent-pending patient handle to the FOURTEKS unit. The easy to use patient handle puts control in the hands of the patient to reduce anxiety and improve customer experience during the stressful electronic pulp test. The removeable EPT probe can be rotated in the Attachment to make reaching teeth easy.
The test is started by the practitioner using the buttons on the FOURTEKS device. A gentle ELECTRONIC pulse is passed between the probe and the patient handle that increases in intensity to determine tooth sensitivity. The test stops when the patient presses their button. The LCD then displays the intensity of the EPT pulse, allowing quick and easy comparison between teeth. The FOURTEKS ELECTRONIC Accessory Kit includes the Patient Handle, EPT Attachment, and EPT Probe.
The FOURTEKS LIGHT Accessory Kit
The FOURTEKS LIGHT Accessory Kit includes a fiber optic light probe to illuminate oral structure as a compliment to pulp vitality testing and tooth health evaluation. The device automatically changes functionality when using the LIGHT Attachment. The fiber optic probe can be rotated in the LIGHT Attachment to make it easy to illuminate any desired area of the mouth. The FOURTEKS LIGHT Accessory Kit includes the Light Attachment and Light Probe.
